We appreciate your assistance as we begin the study process to improve this vital segment of the County’s infrastructure network. Survey crews representing the consulting firm of Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. and their authorized subconsultants are working on behalf of the County to perform project-related surveys as part of the Manhattan-Monee roadway improvement project. Surveys include, but are not limited to, environmental, wetland, utility, field tile, and topographic. Your cooperation is requested by allowing them to enter your lands and/or private property while performing these services for the County. This access is authorized by law in accordance with Illinois Highway Code 605 ILCS 5/4 503 and 605 ILCS 5/5 803.

The County plans to hold a public information meeting (PIM) to gain stakeholder input on transportation issues, needs, and the range of alternatives; date/time to be determined anticipated early 2026. Please check back to this website for updates when PIM #1 is announced.
